75km Pier work for Bullet Train complete in Gujarat; 90% of total land acquired

New Delhi: Ministry of Railways on 22nd July 2022 informed in Rajya sabha that the acquisition of about 90% of the land out of a total of 1396 Hectares of land required for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project is complete.
In a reply to the question by Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Brij Lal the Railways informed that the “Foundation for 86 Km and pier for 75 Km in Gujarat has been completed.”
Out of the total 352 Km length of the project located in Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Civil works in 352 Km length have started in different phases from December 2020 onwards, the reply further said.
The Ministry also informed the house that the Survey and preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the other Seven High-Speed Rail Corridors is in progress.
These other seven corridors are (i) Delhi-Varanasi (ii) Delhi- Ahmedabad (iii) Mumbai- Nagpur (iv) Mumbai- Hyderabad (v) Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore (vi) Delhi- Chandigarh-Amritsar (vii) Varanasi-Howrah
