July 09, 2022
Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has lifted all controls pertaining to the size of Ganesh idols for Ganeshotsav this year as all regulations related to Covid -19 have ceased to become applicable after March 31, 2022.
The state government had restricted the height of Ganesh idols at public places to be not more than 4 feet and at homes to not be more than 2 feet in 2021, keeping in mind the situation arising because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board will continue to apply with regards to the materials that can be used in preparing the idols and care that needs to be taken at the time of ‘visarjan’. DeshGujarat
