PM Narendrabhai Modi to lay foundation stone of new campus of Central University of Gujarat

Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi will perform foundation stone laying of the new campus of the Central University of Gujarat (CUG) to be built near Kundhela in Dabhoi taluka of Vadodara on 18th June, at the function of Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan at Leprosy Ground in Vadodara city.
While the State government has allocated 100 acres of land near Kundhela in Dabhoi,the central government has approved Rs 743 crore for building the campus. The campus will have a capacity of providing education to 2500 students as per global norms.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the construction of the first Gatishakti University in the country during his visit to Vadodara.
The campus will have a library with books, magazines, and digital and e-resources and a large administrative building. It will also have multipurpose buildings, guest house, student accommodations for males and females, global level laboratories, lecture halls with multimedia facilities. The transit headquarters of Kundhela CUG is in Gandhinagar at present which will be shifted to the new campus after it becomes ready. DeshGujarat
