Stray cattle kill 1, injure 2 others in Jamnagar
June 13, 2022
Jamnagar: Jamnagar has gained the reputation of being a city where cattle keep blocking the roads. Cases of human beings losing their life because of being attacked by cattle keep happening very often in this city. An elderly man passing through Vaniyavaad was attacked by stray cattle, killing him on the spot on Sunday. Two more citizens were attacked by cattle in the same locality and had to be rushed for medical treatment on the same day.
In the first incident, a 65-yr-old shopkeeper, Bharatbhai Jethabhai Bosmiya, died on the spot after being attacked by 5 cows while passing along a road in the Vaniyavaad area. The entire area was struck by grief because of this unfortunate incident. Two other citizens also had to be rushed to a hospital for medical treatment after being attacked by stray cows.
The Jamnagar Municipal Corporation is a mute spectator even as the campaign to impound stray cattle is being lazily implemented.
