Post midnight, long queues at petrol pumps following a rumor circulating on Whatsapp

Ahmedabad: Thousands of people formed long queues at various fuel stations across the city after circulation of rumor message over Whatsapp claiming shortage of fuel from Sunday morning. The fuel station operators were surprised to see sudden queues forming at their place after midnight. The rumor message claimed that the petrol pumps will go on a four days strike from Sunday and therefore one should immediately pay a visit and fill in the tanks.

There were messages also circulating suggesting that a certain gulf country is going to discontinue oil supply.
