June 08, 2022
Rajkot: A dam will come up on the Beti river in Rajkot after the Airport Authority has given its ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) for the project.
MLA Govindbhai Patel had conducted a survey to evaluate potential sites nearby Rajkot and identified the river near Beti village as being suitable for the construction of a dam. A detailed proposal had been prepared and sent to the state government. Yesterday, the project has overcome the final hurdle with the Airport Authority giving its clearance.
Dam is expected to mitigate the drinking water woes of Rajkot city. DeshGujarat.
