‘Ganesh Sthapana’, lighting of 4,200 lamps at Surat’s Diamond Bourse on June 5
May 23, 2022
Surat: The beautification work of the world’s largest diamond bourse in Surat is on the verge of completion. The bourse committee now has organized a ‘Ganesh Sthapana’ and ‘Maha-Aarti’ of 4,200 lamps on June 5, 2022, at the Surat Diamond Bourse.
Attempts are being made to rope in Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dedicate the Diamond-shaped main gate built at a cost of Rs 9 crore to the people.
However, some are of the view that the ceremony to dedicate the entire project to the people should be held under the auspices of Prime Minister once it is fully ready.
Because Lord Ganesha is invoked before embarking on any new activity, a ‘Ganesh Sthapana’ has been organized on 5th June at the Bourse. The lighting of 4,200 lamps is also symbolic because the Bourse has 4,200 offices. DeshGujarat
