Late Cong MLA Joshiyara’s son Keval to join BJP on May 24

Gandhinagar: Keval Joshiyara, son of former Congress MLA late Anil Joshiyara, has finally decided to join the BJP. He has revealed that he has sought permission to attend a BJP programme to be held on May 24. Thus, there should be no doubts that Keval will resign from the Congress either in Gandhinagar or Bhiloda and formally join the saffron party.
Just a couple of weeks back, Ashwin Kotwal, who is a Congress MLA from Khedbrahma, which is just besides Anil Joshiyara’s constituency of Bhiloda, switched over to the BJP.
The latest developments have improved BJP’s prospects in at least 2 out of the three seats reserved for tribals in North Gujarat, which are believed to be a stronghold of the Congress party.
Rumours began swirling when Keval Joshiyara last week went all the way to Jamnagar from Bhiloda just to attend a Bhagwat discourse of former minister Dharmendrasinh Jadeja alias Hakubha .
It is believed that it was during the political adjustments going on under the garb of this discourse that Keval’s entry into the BJP was finalized.
Keval’s father, the late Dr Anil Joshiyara, was an MLA since 1995. However, it should be noted that Keval lost the elections to the district panchayat from his father’s constituency as a Congress nominee. DeshGujarat
