Recounting of votes for Kubernagar ward election as per SC order

Gandhinagar: The supreme court has ordered fair counting within 14 days after a congress candidate challenged the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections 2021 results for Kuber Nagar ward in Ahmedabad.
BJP female candidate Gitaba Chavda was declared winner after a fair counting in Kuber Nagar ward in AMC election 2021. Then, congress candidate Jagdish Mohnani had challenged the results in the supreme court. After the supreme court’s order, the fair counting of votes in Kubernagar ward in 2021 will be held at LD engineering college on 7th May 2022.
The panel of congress had won in the counting on 23rd February 2021 and they held their victory procession on 25th February. The team of collector office along with police staff had taken their victory certificate back at night on 26th February by telling them that they had lost. BJP female candidate Gitaba Chavda had appealed to the election commission alleging that she lost despite getting more votes as the counting of 9th round was pending. EC had done an investigation within 2 days and found that the error occurred as the 9th round counting was pending.
