DefExpo 2022 in Gujarat postponed

Gandhinagar: Due to logistic problems being experienced by the participants, the DefExpo 2022 proposed to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from March 10th till March 14th is postponed, said Defense Ministry spokesperson A. Bharat Bhushan Babu.
He added that the new dates will be communicated in due course.
Around 70 countries were expected to participate in the mega defense event which aims at building upon the vision to achieve self-reliance in the defense sector.
The theme of DefExpo 2022 was ‘India- The Emerging Defense Manufacturing Hub.’ Total 930 exhibitors has registered for the event till February 22. However several companies and foreign govt representatives had to decline to attend the event due to Ukraine – Russia war and the situation arising globally due to same.
