After Dhandhuka now Ranpur and Botad observe strike over murder of Hindu youth

Dhandhuka: Alleged involvement of two maulvis (Muslim cleric) from Ahmedabad and Mumbai has surfaced in the murder of a Hindu youth Kishan Bharwad in Dhandhuka as per the reports quoting police sources. A maulvi from Ahmedabad had allegedly provided weapon to the murderer for the murder of Kishan Boliya in Dhandhuka.

Kishan was shot dead by persons who came on bike on January 25 on public road in Dhandhuka. Kishan had allegedly shared a blasphemous social media post which had made some people angry.

Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi today held prolong meeting to collect all details of the case. He reviewed the progress of the investigation with senior police men. The police is investigating the case by forming 7 teams. Two accused are held by the police so far in this case.

After a total strike in Dhandhuka by Hindu organizations yesterday, a nearby small town Ranpur is also observing strike today protesting the murder of Hindu youth. Neighboring district headquarters Botad is also observing strike against Hindu youth’s murder.

Meanwhile a significantly large rally was seen in Southern Gujarat town Navsari protesting the murder of Hindu youth. Such protest programmes are also reported from various places such as Surendranagar, Dhrangadhra and Vadodara among others.

Bhaumik alias Biji Govindbhai Boliya (33) and Kishan Shivabhai Boliya(30) were near Modhwada naka of Dhandhuka in the evening on 25 January. Two unidentified persons who arrived on another bike started firing targetting Kishan Boliya. While Bhaumikbhai was seriously injured, Kishan Boliya hit by two bullets died on the spot. Police has filed complaint under IPC sections 302, 307, 120B, Arms act section 25(1)(B-A_ and GP act 135. Dhandhuka’s Police Insepector CB Chauhan was transferred to Control room leave reserve. Police constable Mushtaq Muhammad Khan Imtiyazkhan was transfered to Nal Sarovar, head Constable Navreja Umarbhai was transferred to mandal, Women’s Lok Rakshak Zulfiyaben Rafikbhai was transferred to Vithalpur while Women’s Lok Rakshak Khushbu Gafurbhai was transferred to Hansal police station after this incident.
