Gandhinagar: The government bungalows of ‘K’ and ‘KH’ types have been allocated to the former cabinet members of ex CM Vijay Rupani’s cabinet at a negligible rent, in garb of the reason for the studies of their children.

The former ministers who are now merely MLAs were to be provided the quarters allocated to MLAs. However, they have been provided bungalows of ‘K’ and ‘Kh’ categories at minimal cost with the reason that they require it for the studies of their children at schools and colleges in Gandhinagar.

In a circular of the department of roads and buildings, it is stated that the bungalows are provided only till the end of the academic semester. The rent of the ‘K’ type bungalows is estimated at Rs 42 thousand per month, but former ministers are provided it at the rent of just Rs 4,800.

The former cabinet ministers namely former DyCM Nitin Patel, Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Saurabh Patel, Ganpat Vasava, Jayesh Radadiya, Ishwar Parmar, Pradipsinh Jadeja, Parsottam Solanki, Jaydrathsinh Parmar, Ishwarsinh Patel, Vasan Ahir, Vibhavariben Dave, Raman Patkar, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja and Kunvarji Bavaliya are provided the bungalows of K and Kh type in Gandhinagar at minimal rent.
