Ministers assigned responsibility of wards for GMC election

Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has assigned responsibility of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) election to 12 ministers.
Jitubhai Vaghani has been given responsibility of ward number one. Kiritsinh Rana – 2, Rushikesh Patel – 3, Arjunsinh Chauhan – 4, Harsh Sanghavi – 5, Pradip Parmar – 6, Purnesh Modi – 7, Jagdish Panchal – 8, Arvind Raiyani – 9, Kanu Desai – 10 while Mukesh Patel and Raghavji Patel have been assigned responsibility of ward number 11.
Polling for GMC election will take place on 3rd October. Counting of votes will take place on October 5. BJP is ruling party in GMC at present but through backdoor thanks to defection. The voters of capital town Gandhinagar, most of them the government servant and their family members had elected Congress in the elections previously. DeshGujarat
