A singer in North Gujarat wraps Cobra snake around neck to shoot video

Palanpur: A video of a folk singer named Arjun Thakor from Zabadiya village of Deesa in Banaskantha singing a song while wrapping a snake around his neck went viral on social media. The Forest Department initiated actions against him in connection with video.
A folk singer can be seen singing and playing with a Cobra snake wrapped around his neck in viral video. It is learnt that the cobra snake visible in the video is a very poisonous snake having neurotoxic poison.
The breed is declared protected under the Wild Life (Protection) Act 1972. DCF Abhay Kumar Singh informed that the team went to the village for investigation after coming across the video. The video was shot at Zabadiya village by the singer and the process of taking a statement from him is started, he added. DeshGujarat
