Gujarat to get 11 oxygen plants from PM CARES: Amit Shah

Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today inaugurated an oxygen manufacturing plant at Kolavda village in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency which is represented by him.
Shah said , oxygen manufacturing in Gujarat is better compared to other States as Gujarat is industrial state. Gujarat has supplied surplus oxygen to many other States and set a good example.
He said the PM CARES fund has approved 100s of plants for oxygen production across India. Of them Gujarat is going to get 11 plants that shall be operated soon. Such plants will further strengthen oxygen supply and the State will be able to supply surplus oxygen to other states also.
Shah said the oxygen plant inaugurated today at Kolavda produces 280 liter oxygen per minute through normal air. At present 66 patients are admitted in Kolavda based covid hospital. But oxygen produced here is sufficient for full capacity of 200 patients.
Shah said the government has simultaneously kept large cylinders in its possession so that some oxygen plant doetn’s function, there can be alternate supply.
Shah said a 1200-bed full fledged covid hospital will be set up soon at Gandhinagar helipad ground by DRDO and Tata Sons. This proposed hospital will also have 600 ICU beds. DeshGujarat
