Gujarat govt denies nod to CBI to prosecute cops in Ishrat encounter case

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has refused CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) a sanction to prosecute three remaining accused cops in year 2004 Ishrat Jahan Encounter case – IPS (IG) GL Singhan, retired DySP Tarun Barot and Assistant Sub Inspector Anaju Chaudhary.
