Mumbai: Arvind Joshi(84), a veteran actor, producer, father of movie actor Sharman Joshi and actress Mansi Joshi Roy (wife of actor Rohit Roy) passed away today morning in Nanavati hospital here Arvind Joshi was brother of legendary Gujarati drama artist Pravin Joshi. Late Arvind Joshi had worked in dozens of Gujarati movies including Pardeshi Maniyaro and Footpath ni Rani. He also worked in 1975 for Hindi movie Sholay as Assistant Director.

Paying tribute to Arvind Joshi, actor Paresh Rawal said, “Irreparable loss to Indian theatre; with grief we say goodbye to the noted actor Shri Arvind Joshi. A stalwart, a versatile actor, an accomplished thespian, are the words that come to mind when I think of his performances. My condolences to @TheShermanJoshi & family. AUM SHANTI”
