Exit Poll shows BJP victory on 6-7 out of 8 seats that went for by-polls in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: India Today Group – Axis My India today in its exit poll coverage predicted huge victory for ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 8-seat assembly by-polls in Gujarat. The exit poll has predicted 6-7 seats win for BJP with whopping 49 per cent vote share. As per the prediction telecast by India Today group, opposition Congress party will have to satisfy with zero to one seat win with vote share of 40 percent while others will have 11 per cent vote share. Polling for 8-seat by-polls concluded on November 3. Counting will take place on November 10. Turnout in 8-seat by-polls was as high as above 60 per cent. All 8 seats were previously occupied by Congress and went vacant due to resignations of then sitting Congress MLAs, just ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections this year.
