Congress is going to split further after 8-seat by-polls: Rupani in Kaprada
October 26, 2020
Valsad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while campaigning for BJP candidate in Kaprada assembly seat by-election today said Congress will continue to split even after 8-seat by-elections.
Rupani said, ‘there’s dissatisfaction in Congress and even after this election, Congress is going to split.’
Rupani said, BJP is going to win all 8 seats, but even if the result is something else, BJP has 103 MLAs and Gujarat will continue to have stable BJP government.
Rupani said, Congress workers have no trust in party’s leadership. Questions are being raised against Rahul Gandhi. Those who raised questions have been put in a corner. In Madhya Pradesh, 25 Congress MLAs left Congress. In Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot revolted. In Gujarat, in 2017, former Congress president and leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela left Congress with 13 MLAs. Later six other MLAs left Congress. Now 8 MLAs have left Congress.
Gujarat is witnessing a season of by-elections for 8 seats of State assembly after resignations of 8 Congress MLAs early this year. Polling will take place on November 3.
