Andhra fishermen stranded at Veraval Port in Gujarat start returning

Veraval: Over 4,000 stranded fishermen are being sent back to Andhra Pradesh using more than 50 sleeper buses after the government approval and screening process. Two drivers and two fishermen are appointed monitors per bus. Meal, water, snacks to be provided on board during journey.
First batch of 10 buses carrying 780 fishermen of Andhra Pradesh, who were at Veraval Port since lockdown, flagged off today for travel to Srikakulam. Others will follow soon, said Collector, Gir Somnath. Andhra Chief Minister Jagan Reddy had spoken to Gujarat CM regarding same early this month.
