Siddhpur MLA Chandanji Thakor booked over allegation of slapping a traffic guard on lockdown duty

Bahucharaji: Bechraji Police have booked Siddhpur Congress MLA Chandanji Thakor under IPC sections 332, 188, 504, 506(2), 186 , 114 and Disaster Management Act sections 51(1), 51(b) on complaint filed by Jitendra Vinuprasad Raval a traffic police jawan working as Traffic Road Brigade (TRB) guard.
According to complaint draft, Raval works as TRB guard in Bechraji police station since 2016. He was on duty today at fix point of Shakti circle in Bechraji town to implement the lock down related restrictions. Raval was ordered to stop entry of all vehicles in the limit of Mahesana district barring goods vehicle.

A Toyota Innova car GJ 24AF 8011 which came from Viramgam side highway road was stopped by Raval in the course of duty. One of persons who stepped out from the car got angry and slapped Raval when he was questioned about why they were out on road during lockdown. A person also used abusive language and said ‘I am Chandanji Thakor, MLA of Sidhpur’. The MLA according to complaint draft issued a threat and his behavior was rough.
Raval in his complaint further stated that another person with MLA was his son. He too used absuive language and issued threat to kill him.
Raval was with ASI, Head Constable, Constables and other TRB jawans when the incident happened.
