Two poachers held in possession of 41 birds captured from Nal Sarovar sanctuary

Ahmedabad: According to Deputy Forest Conservator (DCF) Dr. BD Chaudhary, two persons including a woman and a minor were held with possession of birds captured from Nal Sarovar bird sanctuary.
Padhar Lilaben Gangabhai(50) from Dharji was found in possession of 36 birds, of which 33 were released while 3 injured birds were sent to forest department’s Bodakdev, Amdavad based medical centre.
Ajay Gatur (13) was found in possession of 5 birds, all of them were released.
In last two months, under the guidance of Dr. BD Chaudhary, the officials including DR Makwana, Naresh Patel and others have rescued 500 birds captured by poachers.
