Thakor Sena core committee put a seal on Alpesh and Jhala’s wearing saffron robe in near future

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Kshatriya Thakor Sena core committee today gave its formal assent to its leader and former Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor and his aide ex-MLA Dhavalsinh Jhala for joining ruling BJP.
After the meeting of the committee on the residence of Alpesh here in which he himself was not present, Jhala said that the committee has given assent to our joining BJP.
‘The committee has in fact authorized Alpesh to talk to BJP leaders and take a decision soon on the date for joining and other modalities. The committee was of the view that as the BJP was a ruling party, we would be able to serve our community and poor people in better manner after associating with it,’ he said.
He said that Alpesh would talk to BJP leaders soon a finalize things.
Notably, former Radhanpur MLA Alpesh who had resigned from all posts of Congress on April 10 and his aide and former Congress MLA from Bayad Jhala had after cross voting for BJP candidates in July 5 RS by-polls in Gujarat had also resigned from the assembly.
Congress has however said that the party would ensure that both were disqualified from contesting elections for 6 years.
