Congress party says it will not participate in TV debates for a month

New Delhi: After the Congress Party’s poor performance in recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, party’s media head Randeep Surjewala today announced that no spokesperson from party will participate in TV for a month. Surjewala asked media channels to not place any of their representatives on their shows.
“Congress has decided to not send spokespersons on television debates for a month. All media channels/editors are requested to not place Congress representatives on their shows,” a statement issued by the Congress Party said.
The decision comes following uncertainty in the party on whether Rahul Gandhi will continue as president as he remains firm on his decision to step down.
Earlier, after debacle in Lok Sabha polls, Samajwadi Party had also taken same decision and asked party men not to join TV debates.
