Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has thanked the Narmada Control Authority(NCA) for allocation of seepage and dead water of Narmada to Gujarat for drinking water purpose.

A meeting of NCA was held in New Delhi in which this relief was given to Gujarat which is likely to face shortage of water in upcoming season of summer.

Reacting to this development, Chief Minister Rupani said that with this permission granted, Gujarat is saved from drinking water problem.

He said around 10,000 villages and 167 urban centers will no more face any problem of drinking water till July 31st this year.

The Chief Minister also conveyed thanks to concerned states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra’s Chief Ministers.
