NID competition for recycling of demonetized currency notes launched

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani launched the National Institute of Design (NID) competition for recycling demonetized currency notes for innovative purposes on the website at the institute here today.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that demonetization move would help the nation realize the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India and Digital India schemes. He wished the initiative would help youth come out with innovative ideas to recycle the shredded currency notes rendered as wastes in the best interest of the society and the nation.
The Chief Minister assured his government’s continued support to the NID.
NID Director Pradyumna Vyas narrated activities of the institute and gave details of the competition for recycling the demonetized currency notes.
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Director Jayant Das gave details of the technology behind the demonetization of high worth currency notes.
