Smriti Irani launches Rs 8.41 crore development works at her adopted village Udvada in South Gujarat

Udvada: Union Textile minister Smriti Irani today performed ground breaking for 21 development works worth Rs 8.41 crore at her adopted village Udvada in South Gujarat under Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana.
Speaking on this occasion, the minister said Udvada willage will be availed total wi-fi connectivity and CCTV camera network.
Irani who is married to Parsi gentleman Zubin Irani conveyed her wishes for the festival of Navroz to Parsi people who live in Udvada.
Among the works for which ground breaking was performed are pond beautification, bus stand, school building, toilet block, cricket ground, garden, primary health center, fish market, street lights, CCTV camera network, wi-fi internet, high-school building, RCC road and crematorium.
Among those present on this occasion were Dastoorji of Parsi Agiyari(holy place), District Panchayat President Jitendra Tandel, MP Dr KC Patel, Pardi MLA Kanubhai Desai, DDO, District Planning Officer, Mamlatdar, Collector, BSNL General Manager, Resident Additional Collector and Sarpanch.
