After Indian movies now Indian TV channels banned across Pakistan
October 01, 2016
Lahore: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority(PEMRA) has taken a decision of bannig all Indian channels across Pakistan in response to India’s surgical strike in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir(POK) area in which at least two Pakistani army men were killed.
PEMRA ha warned that strict action will be taken as per law after October 15 if TV channels and distribution networks fail to follow direction.
It should be mentioned here that Pakistani cinemas have taken decision not to show Indian movies. A new film on Indian cricket Mahendrasingh Dhoni is not showcased in Pakistani theaters. All other movies scheduled to release in the month of October will also be skipped.
TV advertisements featuring Indian actors are however still on air in Pakistan. Two of such ads feature actor Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh.
