Air India to run 5 more flights to Ahmedabad for Vibrant Gujarat, PBD

National carrier Air India has said it will operate five additional flights to Ahmedabad from Delhi during the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit and Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) in Gandhinagar.
Air India will deploy a 122-seater A319 plane to operate these flights, which will facilitate the travel of participants attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (NRI Day) and Vibrant Gujarat conferences in Ahmedabad, the airline said in a release.
The additional flights, to be operated from January 5 to January 14, will depart Delhi at 10:35 am and reach Ahmedabad at 12:05 pm, Air India said.
The return flight will leave Ahmedabad at 1245 hrs IST (00:45 AM) and arrive in Delhi at 1415 hrs IST (02:15 PM), it said.
Both the events, the seventh edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, taking place from January 11 to January 13 and the 13th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas scheduled to be held from January 7 to January 9, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The main event of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas would be held at Mahatma Mandir, while some cultural events are scheduled to take place at Kankaria and the riverfront.
