Tarun Barot denied,RL Mavani gets bail,Pradip Sharma withdraws bail plea

Suspended cop Tarun Barot’s bail plea has been rejected by the CBI court in Ahmedabad today in Sadiq Jamal encounter case. However the court has granted bail to co-accused RL Mavani. Barot had been given default bail in Ishrat Jahan encounter case in May 2013. However he is still in jail for his alleged involvement in Sadiq Jamal encounter case. Barot is likely to go to higher court against today’s verdict.
In another development, suspended IAS Pradip Sharma has withdrawn his bail plea in corruption case which otherwise was likely to be rejected by court.
