Narendra Modi condemns Chhattisgarh attack, asks for zero tolerance towards naxalism

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today condemned the attack on Congress’s Parivartan Yatra in Chhattisgarh state in which Selva Judum movement’s pioneer and Congress MLA Mahendra Karma and 16 other persons died, state Congress president Nandkumar Patel and his son were kidnapped and senior Congress leader Shri V.C.Shukla was seriously injured.

Shri Modi on his twitter message said, “Gruesome attack in Chhattisgarh is an attack on democracy. Time has come to adopt policy of Zero Tolerance towards Terrorism and Naxalism”.

In subsequent tweet Shri Modi said, “condolences to families of deceased and respects to policemen who laid down their lives. My prayers with the injured. May they recover quickly.”

Shri Modi in his third tweet in series said, “The need of the hour is to stand together as a nation and vow to fight this menace that threatens our democracy.”
