Ahmedabad, 25 December 2012
Speaking at Gujarat BJP’s legislative party meet at Gandhinagar today, Gujarat Chief Minister took a dig on Gujarati news TV channels for their special programmes suggesting possible faces in new Narendra Modi cabinet.
Modi said: “I was not able to watch TV during the election time, but recently I watched some TV channels and I watched that they have turned all 115 BJP MLAs into ministers. This is because every news TV channel is attempting to make difference, so if one channel presents Mr. X as a new possible minister, another channel makes Mr. Y as a minister. And if you watch all channels, they have in total turned all 115 BJP MLAs into ministers. It’s an era of breaking news and we don’t know what they would break, when they would break and how much they will keep breaking!! Well friends, it is the party that takes such decisions as a team. Those who have been assigned responsibility, are working on this subject. Proper decisions are taken at proper time.”
