Ahmedabad, 6 December 2012
Taking a dig at Gujarat Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela’s remark that he is the captain (of Gujarat Congress team and thus a Chief Ministerial candidate), Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi without naming Vaghela today in his speech at a public meeting held at Babara-Lathi-Damnagar said, “there are half a dozen leaders in Gujarat Congress who proclaim such captainship. What’s the value of such self style claim?”
“Sonia Gandhi will be in Gujarat tomorrow, I challenge her to tell the name of captain,” Modi added.
It should be mentioned that Gujarat Congress’s campaign committee chief Shankersinh Vaghela had yesterday in a rally at Surendranagar described himself as captain(of Gujarat Congress team and thus a Chief Ministerial candidate). Vaghela said this in response to BJP’s main election agenda that Congress is fighting the election with a team without captain(Chief Ministerial candidate).
