Ahmedabad, 20 August 2012
Leader of opposition in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Congress leader Badruddin Sheikh today alleged that Gujarat Chief Minister gave away a public holiday of Ramzan Eid on Sunday intentionally. Sheikh said Ramzan Eid comes either on 29th or 30th day of Ramzan, but Modi govt declared holiday in advance on 28th day which was Sunday – already a holiday. While central govt announced leave on Monday on the occasion of Ramzan Eid, Modi govt stayed away from giving compulsory holiday, but declared only non-mandatory leave. The Congress leader further said that Modi’s Sadbhavana has been exposed with this example.
