The sessions court in Jamkhmbhalia has issued a bailable warrant against suspended controversial Gujarat IPS Sanjiv Bhatt.
Sanjiv Bhatt and others are facing murder charge in 1993 police atrocity case. The case was scheduled for hearing on 29 July but Bhatt didn’t turn up.
Bhatt had not appeared before the court earlier too. Taking this into consideration Khambhalia’s Additional Sessions Court Justice N.P.Solanki issued bailable warrant of Rs. 5,000 with condition that Bhatt would remain present in the court on 6 September. Bhatt’s lawyer told the court that Bhatt would remain present on next date of hearing.
